The work behind each project
Every piece here came into our Saint Paul shop tired, worn, or damaged and left restored by hand. We do not spray on a quick production finish. Each project is stripped, repaired, stained, and top-coated the traditional way, so the grain shows through and the finish holds up for decades of real use.
Antiques and heirlooms
We preserve original character and patina wherever we can, re-glue loose joints, and match the new finish to the age of the piece rather than over-restoring it. See our antique restoration work.
Tables and dressers
Water rings, heat marks, and worn tops are stripped back to bare wood, then rebuilt with a durable hand-applied finish. We refinish dining tables and dressers for daily use.
Kitchen cabinets
Instead of a full remodel, we refinish and restain cabinet doors and boxes, giving a dated kitchen a fresh look for a fraction of replacement cost. See kitchen cabinet refinishing.
Caning and upholstery
Broken cane, rush, and splint seats are hand-woven again through our chair caning service, and tired frames get fresh fabric so a favorite chair is sound and comfortable once more.
